In the private church of St. John in Nymfaio, Florina, Byzantine frescoes of the Macedonian School served as inspiration for mosaics made exclusively of natural materials: marble, stone, pebbles and the artists' handmade ceramic tiles. Thus the resulting pieces are truly in harmony with the church's proportions, the region's natural environment, as well as the Macedonian tradition.
